I am a graduate of the law
school at the University of
Toronto. During my time as a law student, I was
also a Junior Fellow of
Massey College (Toronto, Ontario, Canada). Prior to law school, I
received a Bachelor of Commerce
degree (with First Class Honours) from the Queen’s School of
Business at Queen’s University
(Kingston, Ontario,
Canada).
I articled with the Toronto offices of Blake,
Cassels & Graydon LLP (commonly referred to as
Blakes) and I was called to the Bar of
Ontario in 2008 (i.e. I am a barrister and
solicitor, licensed to practice law in the Province of
Ontario in Canada). I currently practice as an
associate with the Intellectual Property Group at
Blakes and I am cross-listed with the Litigation Group.
You can find my complete Blakes
profile here, which details my current practice
and professional background.
My practice is focussed on intellectual property matters
and I am involved with a number of professional groups that
deal with intellectual property issues. I am currently a
member of the editorial board of the Canadian
Intellectual Property Review (CIPR), which is a
journal published by the Intellectual
Property Institute of Canada.
I have an interest in the history of the law, the legal
profession, and the judiciary in Canada and I am a member
of the Osgoode
Society for Canadian Legal History.
